An unidentified man hurled shoe on the chairperson of the ruling Nepal Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal at City Hall in the capital on Sunday, shortly after he addressed a public event.
However, Dahal narrowly escaped the shoe attack at around 4 PM. The incident took place when the former prime minister was coming out from the City Hall after addressing the program organized to mark the 1st death anniversary of communist leader Bharat Mohan Adhikari.
It is learnt that the person who hurled shoe on Dahal was a former Maoist combatant. The police have already arrested him and kept at Singh Durbar Police Circle. However, his identity has yet to be ascertained.
