UML Cadres Injured in YCL Attack

The attack on two local UML cadres of Odanaku VDC by YCL cadres has left them injured.

 

Jore Sunar, 46, and his brother Kalya Sunar, 48, of Odanaku1 were injured when beaten by five including YCL district member Gante Luwar alias Akhanda and Takka Singh with an iron rod.

 

Kalya who sustained minor injuries as he came to rescue his brother informed that the men already quite drunk had arrived at the duo’s home and asked Jore for alcohol. When he replied that he did not have any, the group, while verbally abusing for being close to UML, brought out iron rods and sickles from their bags and attacked him.

Jore has sustained serious head injuries while Kalya has cuts on the forehead.

 

District Police Office informed that the injured were being treated at the District Hospital , Kalikot adding the victims have filed an application demanding medical checkups and action against the perpetrators.

 

The legal process has been initiated after the application by the brothers, DSP Homnath Niraula said.

 

YCL district in-charge Manilal Aidi said that it was not a politically motivated incident.
