Main Accused in Tiwari Murder Acquitted

Parsa, mukhya abhiyukt laai safai. The District Court Parsa has acquitted the main accused in the killing of the then central chairperson of Hindu Yuba Sangh Kashi Tiwari. Police had arrested the main accused Siyaram Kushwaha alias Phiroj, 28, of Hathiyahi VDC-5 in Rautahat from Bhandara of Chitwan on December 15, 2013 on charge of shooting Tiwari. Judge Shyam Sundar Adhikari issued the verdict acquitting Kushwaha on January 12. He was remanded in prison for investigation following court order on December 21, 2013. Shrestedar at the District Court Binod Khatiwada informed that Siyaram and Baliram Sah were acquitted while Aman Kushwaha has been imprisoned for 2 years and 6 months. Khatiwada informed that the case has been put on hold for another accused Mukesh Sarraj since he remains absconding. Kashi Tiwari of Birgunj sub-metropolis-13 was shot dead in front of Ashok Batika in Birgunj on June 26, 2010. Aman, who was arrested in connection with the murder had provided statement that Siyaram, who was at the pillion riding the motorbike he was driving, had shot Tiwari dead. Wife of Tiwar, Babita said that she would appeal the case.
