Family members of 25-year-old Sunil Kumar Khatwe Mandal of Bideha Municipality-5 Ekahari have accused the in-charge of Tinkauriya Police Post In Aurahi assistant sub-inspector Mod Narayan Yadav of arresting Sunil Kumar from home on February 27 and torturing him in custody. Sunil Kumar who sustained a serious injury on both his legs was undergoing treatment at Janakpur provincial hospital before being discharged from hospital on February 29 evening. Sunil Kumar's elder brother accused the police of arresting him without warrant and beating him with metal pipe and boots. Police arrested Sunil Kumar for his alleged accomplice in helping 20-year-old Anil Kumar Mandal of Dhanauji Rural Municipality-3 who eloped with a local girl.
