Following complaints of black marketing in Birgunj, a joint monitoring team led by Chief of Commerce and Supplies Office Parsa Jeet Bahadur Bhandari monitored the market on the 31st day of lockdown.
During a market monitoring carried out on Friday, five shops have been fined. According to a spokesperson of the Commerce and Supplies Office, Dilip Khang Khatwe, Gopal Global Trade of Ranighat has been fined 1 lakh for selling goods without mentioning its face value.
Similarly, Santosh General Stores at Panitang, Puskar Enterprises at Pratima Chowk, a grocery store at Bus Park and Pintu Grocery Store at Murli have been fined Rs 5,000 each for not able to show purchase bill invoice.
