Police have managed to arrested accused in one incident while the accused in other two incidents are absconding. Police registered a case against Jagat Bahadur Lama, 68, of Palung VDC-2 on February 4 on charge of raping a 43-year-old mentally challenged woman on February 2. According to the victim, Lama raped her while she had gone to jungle to cut grass. Tej Prasad Pudasaini, 65, of Makawanpur Gadi VDC-5 has been absconding after raping a 12-year-old girl on February 1. Mother of the victim informed her neighbors that he raped her while nobody was at her home. Pudasaini managed to flee when neighbors were handing him over to the police. Likewise, two men have fled after raping a 48-year-old woman. Kiran Syangtan, 35, of Gadi VDC-2 and Krishna Bahadur Syangtan, 34, had barged into the house of the woman and raped her on January 31. The accused also looted golden nose stud and nine thousand rupees from the victim. SP Ganesh Bahadur Air said that police have been deployed to arrest them.
