Lumbini, Nawalparasi West, Ramgram, Ward 17
Cham Bahadur Oli, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Nepal Police, sustained a head injury during a dispute between locals over relief distribution in Ramgram Municipality-17. The municipality had been distributing relief since Wednesday. On Friday, the locals padlocked the ward office claiming that not all the needy people received the relief but a few well-off people did.
It is said that a group of locals attacked the police who reached the ward office to unlock the padlock. Police said that Oli was attacked with a cricket bat. Police have arrested four people, including a woman, for attacking and injuring him.
