Bardiya,bharat laijandai gareka 8 jana yuvatiko uddhar. District Police Office of Bardiya has rescued eight women from the Nepal-India border in Gulariya Municipality-12 on February 12. They were being trafficked to India for foreign employment, according to the police. All the victims staying in Chabahil, Kathmandu were being taken to India under the pretext of taking them for employment in Lebanon by Santosh Kumar Tharu, 30, of Gulariya Municipality-12, said police. The victims complained that they were made hostage by the accused inside the jeep with a registration number Bhe 1 JA 154. All the victims are aged from 19 to 30. Police became suspicious after they found no visas in the passport of the victims. Nine passports were confiscated by the police and the identification of the victims has not been revealed. SP Birendra Kumar Basyal of District police office, Bardiya said that the accused and his wife will be charged under human trafficking and smuggling act. All the victims are kept at Women service center.
