Human Rights Network, Chitwan has conducted a monitoring of the killing of a man by a soldier on February 6. Ramesh Praja, 40, of Piple2 was shot dead on the confluence of Rapti River and Lothar River inside the Chitwan National Park (CNP).
The team interviewed CNP protection officer Jhamak Bahadur Karki, assistant protection officer Tikaram Paudel and Lal Bahadur Bhandar. It also talked Ram Krishna Praja, 25, of Piple2 arrested in the same incident and currently held in a correction center near CNP.
The team will make its report public after interviewing the Nepal Police, Nepal Army, District Administration Office and corned people. <
