Group accused of assaulting Ward Chairperson arrested in Kabhre

Police on May 23 arrested seven people who assaulted Bharat Bahadur Shivabhakti, Ward Chairperson of Bhumlu Rural Municipality-6. The arrestees are 22-year-old Sitaram Majhi, 20-year-old Niraj Majhi, 20-year-old Ravin Majhi, 18-year-old Sagar Majhi, 22-year-old Jeevan Majhi, 19-year-old Pravin Majhi, and 19-year-old Raman Majhi of Chaurideurali Rural Municipality-8.
The group of seven people attacked the Ward Chairperson Shivabhakti on May 23 at Khaharekhola situated at the border of Bhumlu Rural Municipality-6 and Chaurideurali Rural Municipality-8, when he requested them to no do fishing using battery current.
