Kavre/March 4 Krishna Bahadur Thapa, 50, of Kushadevi VDC -6 who had been sentenced to jail for 2 years, 6 months and 2 days on June 16, 1984 for rape by Lalitpur District Court has been arrested by Banepa Area Police Office on March 3. The accused has been arrested and put in jail, 29 years after the verdict was given by the Lalitpur district court. Listed among missing, he was arrested by the police from his house. Banepa APO Inspector Achyut Chapagain said that the convict was arrested after the order was executed by the District Court. The convict was 21-year-old when he raped the women. Thapa has been put in Dhulikhel jail. Chandra Bahadur Mijar of Raviopi VDC -8, who was accused of human trafficking was also sentenced by Kavre District Court 28 years ago has been put in jail by Banepa Police on February 11.
