Locals manhandled a constable deployed for security of quarantine at Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality-2, saying that he brought a woman in his room. Local youths protested after they saw police and an unidentified woman in the room of security personnel and health workers outside the quarantine at 10 pm on Sunday.
The locals alleged that the wrong activity was taking place near the quarantine, asking where the woman came from in the police's room. Meanwhile, the locals beat the constable who brought the woman into the room. Ramdev Yadav, Health Coordinator of Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality, said that a health worker who went to rescue him also sustained an injury in the beating.
According to sources, there were two policemen including Constable Rameshwar Yadav for quarantine security.
