Sindhupalchowk, balatkaarko ghatana gaulele milaauna khojeko bhandai ujuri. A 40-year-old woman has filed a complaint at the District Police Office on March 7 stating that locals tried to settle the case of a rape against her by one Sukaram Tamang, 56, of Hagam VDC-9. The woman has accused Tamang of trying to rape her while she had gone to the jungle to cut grass on January 17. According to her, the locals mediated a compromise which was not agreed by her after which she reached for the DPO to file her complaint. Woman and Children Service Centre under the DPO said that legal action would be taken according to the complaint lodged by the victim.
