Saptari,Ghar nikala garepachi dahej firta ko maag. Kiran Kumari Gupta, 29, of Kanchanpur VDC-7 has filed a case at District Court on March 10 demanding return of the dowry worth Rs 1.4 million. She made the demand in a case of divorce filed against her husband Naresh Prasad Gupta, 39, whom she accuses of throwing her out of home depriving her with food and clothing. She said that she was forced out of the house by the family members along with her husband in August 2013 asking for more dowries. She managed to register the marriage a day after being thrown out and obtained citizenship certificate four days later following the decision made by the villagers. She is currently living at her natal home in Ratanpura of Supaul district in Indian state of Bihar.
