Nawalparasi/ March 7 A 24-year-old woman has been rescued on March 3 while she was being trafficked in India by Hem Narayan Thapa, 37, of Narayani VDC-7. Thapa was taking the woman to India under the pretext of marrying her. She was rescued by the representatives from the organization Sana Haatharu from Maheshpur in Ram Puruwa VDC near the border of India. The organization handed over the victim to her family and the accused was handed over to the police. The accused was later released on March 6 with an agreement not to repeat such incident, said SI Usha Dhungana of District police office. She said that he was found innocent, adding that he might have been used by someone.
