35-year-old Diplal Mahato of Gaushala Municipality-12 lodged a complaint at Area Police Office, Dalkewar on June 11 against 40-year-old Sanjib Yadav, Ward Chairperson of Dhanushadham Municipality-9, 35-year-old Pradip Yadav, a local, 30-year-old Musilim Rain, and 30-year-old Jeet Chaudhary accusing them of beating him and his 30-year-old brother Uttamlal Mahato on June 11.
Diplal Mahato said the accused attacked him in his head at the time of survey when the ward chairperson started construction of a temple on his private land. The victim states that they were attacked with a stick, spear, and other home-made weapons with an intention to kill him.
Police Inspector Tirtha Raj Karki of the Area Police Office Dhalkewar informed that search is on for those involved in the incident. The injured have been treated at the Janakpur-based Provincial Hospital on June 11.
