The station of Helambu FM, which broadcasts from Sindhupalchok district, has been attacked last night. DSP Madhav Prasad Kafle said that Bhoj Bahadur Thapa Magar of Chautara Sangachokgadhi Municipality-5 vandalized the office by breaking the glass of the door and window by attacking the FM office with an axe at around 9:30 pm last night after consuming alcohol.
Police said that they are searching for Thapa Magar and recovered an axe from the spot. The station chief Ngemling Lama informed that the broadcasting service will be shut down for a few days until a suitable environment is created for the operation of the radio.
