A group of youths including the sons of the local representative of Gauriganga Municipality of Kailali has brutally beaten a youth.
Dummar Bahadur Thapa, Deputy Inspector of the Area Police Office, Masuria, said that 21-year-old Commando Katharia, son of Rajkumar Katharia of Gauriganga Municipality-8 was beaten on Sunday night.
He said that Niraj Joshi, son of ward member Chiranjivi Joshi and Rajendra Baral, son of ward member Amrita BK, including Dipendra Sunar of Gauriganga Municipality-4, Arjun BK, Bibek Baral, and Suresh Chunar of ward no. 9 were involved in the beating.
Rajkumar Katharia, the father of the injured Katharia, claimed that his son saw them dealing in drugs and they beat his son for fear of the incident coming out.
