Kathmandu/March 24 Police have arrested Prabesh Gurung, 19, of Gaindakot in Nawalparasi and currently living in Budhanilkantha VDC-4 and a 14-year-old boy of Chapali Bhadrakali-7 and currently living in Bharapa VDC, Panchthar on charge of holding a 16-year-old girl of Phulping VDC-9, Sindhupalchok and currently living in Chapali Bhadrakali VDC-7. The girl was rescued from the room of Prabesh Gurung on March 23 by Metropolitan Police Sector Budhanilkantha, SI Hari Prasad Bhatta of Metropolitan Police Range, Maharajgunj. Police said that the arrest was made following the complaint by the girl’s family on March 23. A case of abduction and hostage taking was registered, SI Bhatta said. The girl was taken hostage on March 22. Maharajgunj Metropolitan Police Sector is investigating the case. V
