Armed Outfit's District In-Charge Arrested

Two persons including district in-charge of Madhes Mukti Tigers have been arrested for threatening business persons and high profile persons of the district on February 13.

 

Hridaya Narayan Singh aka Jaljala Singh, 39 and Akil Sheh, 31 of Nepalgunj-14 were arrested alleging that they warned businessmen and distinguished persons of the district over phone threatening to detonate bombs in their houses if donation was not provided as per their demands. The duo also threatened businessmen and high profile persons to kill them after abduction if donation was not provided to them, police said.

 

Pamphlets of Madhes Mukti Tigers, two pistols, mobile phone sets and donation receipts were also recovered from them, Uday Tamang, DSP at District Police Office said.

 

Singh, who is a senior lab technician at Nepalgunj Medical College while Shesh is an active cadre of the outfit, police said, adding that Singh had threatened to kill KD Babu, owner of Nepalgunj based Puja Dal Mill if he failed to provide Rs. 3, 00000 on February 8, 2011.

 

Case under Arms and Ammunition Act will be filed against the arrestees, DSP Tamang added.
