Netra Bikram Chand-led group threatens Devdaha mayor to vacate house

The so-called People's Court of the banned Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand (Biplava) has posted a notice on July 2 demanding Hira Bahadur Khatri, Mayor of Devdaha municipality to vacate his house in Ward 3 of the municipality within 10 days. Issuing a press statement, the group accused the mayor of snatching 10 bighas and 9 katthas of land and evicting 35 families from there on the basis of political prejudice. The group also accused Khatri of engaging in corruption, nepotism, timber smuggling amongst many other. The municipality had vacated the land on June 15.
