Khotang,mahila ahevmaathi karyakaksh ma nai khukuri prahar. Kabita Dahal, 18, of Solma in Diktel VDC-9 has been critically injured in a khukuri attack on March 30. The victim has been airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment, and the assaulter has been arrested. Ashok KC (22) of Khalle VDC barged into the Emergency Ward of District Hospital, where the victim was working as Assistant Health Worker, and stabbed her on the head, neck and hands, according to the District Police Office. Dr. Nawal Kishor Jha at the District Hospital informed that the victim sustained deep cut injuries in her head, neck and hand. According to DSP Govinda Kumar Shah, chief at the District Police Office, the assaulter and the victim apparently were in a relationship for the past one year. KC told police that he attacked his girlfriend with intent to put her to death for she rejected his marriage proposal to marry another person.
