It has been revealed that 30-year-0ld Shivaram Rana of Barahatal Rural Municipality-1 had been killed by his neighbours. The deceased was missing since February 22 after going to Bardiya National Park five months ago for hunting with 30-year-old Yam Bahadur Samseli Magar and 31-year-old Surya Bahadur Oli. The wife of the deceased Manrupa Rana had filed a complaint at the police on June 30 alleging that Yam Bahadur and Surya Bahadur were responsible for the disappearance of her husband.
A police team under the command of Inspector Gopal Rayamajhi in coordination with Bardia National Park had recovered a loaded firearm, human skeleton, clothes, bag, gunpowder, khukuri, food plate and other items from the spot. Based on the pieces of evidence collected from the spot, father Hariram Rana and wife Manrupa confirmed that the deceased was Shivaram. The police investigation has revealed that the accused killed Shivaram and lied to the family of the deceased by saying that Shiva Ram had been eaten by a tiger while hunting.
