Radhakrishna Upadhyaya from Hindu Jagran Nepal has threatened Sophia Thapa, singer of 'Abko Teej No Brat Please' (No fasting this Teej) on July 20 to take legal actions with an order to remove her song immediately saying her song brings deviation from Hindu faith. Sofia's song protests against the practice of fasting without even drinking water in the name of the festival and drinking water from their husband's feet.
Hindu Jagran Nepal has also put pressure on the Highlight Youtube channel to remove the song saying that it is against the tradition that has been going on for years.
