Rautahat/April 2 Sabufata Khatun, 24, of Basabitti Jingadiya VDC-2 has filed a case at the Women and Children Service Centre (WCSC) of the Police Office on April 2 accusing her in-laws of expelling her from house. The victim accused her mother-in-law Mainun Khatun, 45, father-in-law Shekh Osi Mahamad, 52, and sister-in-law Tanjila Khatun, 28, of assaulting her. According to the victim, her in-laws attacked her with lathi and punched, kicked her over a family dispute in the morning of April 1. Her husband had left for foreign employment some nine months ago. She sustained stitches to her head for the injuries inflicted by her in-laws. The victim said that she was staying at her relative's house after she was expelled by her family. She has a 2-year-old daughter and a 15-day-old son with her. SI Geeta Ranabhat of the WCSC said that a case under domestic violence has been registered and the accused have been summoned for discussion.
