55 Socket Bombs Found, Defused

Parvat,thulo parinamma bhetiyeko socket bomb nishkriya. Parbat/April 6 Nepal Army has defused a large cache of socket bombs found at Majhigaun in Devisthan VDC on April 4. According to the District Police Office Parbat, the bomb disposal team of Nepal Army 23 no. Bahini from Baglung deactivated the 55 Improvised Explosive Devices. Local children who had gone to the cliff near Majhigaun field in Devisthan VDC-8 had seen the IEDs kept hidden there. The children had then informed police. It has been suspected that Maoists had hidden the explosive devices during the conflict period. Most of the IEDs have gathered rust. The site where the IEDs were found is 1 km south from the Area Police Office Phalebas and 100 metres away from Majhigaun ground and Majhigaun Primary School.
