Clash between Dalit Communities Leaves Three Injured

Parvat,Dalitbich kutpit hunda teen ghaite. Parbat/April 5 Three persons have been injured after two dalit communities clashed over an issue of caste discrimination on April 4. The injured are undergoing treatment at Manipal Hospital in Pokhara. The clash ensued between Bishwakarma and Nepali communities over the issue of touching food at the Bratabandha (cultural function) of Ram Krishna BK, 21, son of Chandra Bahadur BK, 40, of Pang VDC-2. Chitra Bahadur Nepali, 35, is undergoing treatment at Mainpal Hospital and he has not gained consciousness yet, said DSP Shyam Krishna Adhikari of the District Police Office. Rajesh Nepali, 16, and Shambhu Nepali are also being treated at the same hospital. He informed that those involved in the incident have been taken in control. DPO informed that those arrested are Shyam Nepali, 20, Shankar BK, 16, Bishnu BK, 21, Shankar BK, 28, Suresh Nepali, 18, Santosh BK, 16, Ashok Sunar, 20, Binod Nepali, 18, Rabin Nepali, 24, Dinesh Nepali, 21, Prakash Sunar, 21, Mohan Sunar, 25, and Chand Bahadur Sunar, 40.
