Rolpa/April 5 District Police Office has made public huge cache of explosive devices amid a program organized in district headquarters Liwang on April 4. A total of 642 pieces of improvised explosive device (IED) were recovered by police on Wednesday acting on a tip off from locals at DhangDhung Gad River of Rankot VDC-2. The IEDs were kept hidden in a cave. The seized explosive devices include 125 pieces of mortar shell and others. Four pieces of iron pipes were also recovered, said DSP Nabin Raj Rai of the District Police Office. DSP Rai suspected that the explosive devices might have been stored during the second election to Constituent Assembly as they were relatively new.
