Dozens of youths, leaders and cadres of Janata Samajbadi Party staged a demonstration on July 27 at Tribhuvan Chowk, Itahari-2 demanding the release of Resham Chaudhary. The youths protested against the release of Ranjan Koirala, former DIG of the Armed Police Force who was convicted of killing his wife. Anup Subba, a local leader of the Janata Samajwadi Party, said that Chaudhary should be released at any cost.
