Beatings Regarding Inter-caste Marriage

Salyan, antarjatiya vivahko vishayama sainik jawandwara kutpit. Salyan/ April 8 Kaman Singh Kami, 79 of Simkhara in Marke VDC-7 and his daughter-in-law Dhanki Kami, 50, have been seriously injured in a beating by a Nepal Army soldier. The victims accused soldier Khum Bahadur Oli, 30, of beating them regarding the dispute on inter-caste marriage. Kaman Singh sustained a serious leg and hand injuries and was referred to Nepalgunj after he could not be treated at District Hospital of Salyan. The other victim Dhanki is getting treatment at District Hospital. The dispute started after the relative of accused had an inter-caste marriage with the grandson of Kaman Singh. The victim’s party has lodged a complaint at District Police Office of Salyan on April 8 demanding for the action against the accused. It was revealed that the accused was in an inebriated state during the incident. The accused is under control of police and he agreed to bear the treatment cost of the victims, said police. M
