Deputy Secretary Assaulted in office in Biratnagar

Deputy Secretary of Nepal Government and Labour and Employment Office head Prem Prasad Sanjel, who has the image of an anti-corruption campaigner, has been assaulted in the office on August 1 by office assistants Netra Bhattarai and Menuka Sapkota Koirala after a dispute arose regarding work. He was attacked with a paperweight, slippers, nail cutter, and punching machine and sustained injuries in the face.
Police are investigating into the incident and have arrested those involved in the assault.
