Province 1, Udayapur, Belaka
Six parties, including the struggling Nepali Congress, have staged a torch rally on August 4 protesting against rampant corruption and irregularities in the Belaka Municipality of Udayapur.
They protested against the mayor for remaining silent about corruption despite the public statements made by deputy-mayor through various media. According to them, their demands were ignored despite handing over a memorandum demanding an investigation into the irregularities in the municipality.
