A group of local youths of Soru Rural Municipality, Mugu have attacked a teacher of Kalila Primary School on Monday. Teacher Bishnuraj Dhami, who went to Thuligaun village to participate in a festival, was brutally assaulted by a group of youths.

Dhami was airlifted to Karnali State Hospital, Surkhet on Tuesday for treatment. According to the doctors, he had not regained consciousness till Tuesday evening. Dhami’s face, head and other parts of the body were seriously injured.

Similarly, a local youth Bar Bahadur Dhami was also injured with the attack. According to Bar Bahadur, Angat Dhami, Jiwan Dhami, Rajendra Dhami, Indra Sejuwal and Kabi Dutta Bumi had attacked them in a dispute over a football match. DSP Bhuwaneshwor Shaha of District Police Office, Mugu said they were searching the absconded accused.
