Kathmandu/April 10 Nirmala Karki, 23 of Lamidada VDC-4 of Dolakha, now residing in Kathmandu Metropolitan-20 lodged a complaint against her husband Shyam Bahadur Karki, 25 on charge of beating. The complaint was filed at Women and Children Service Centre Kalimati on April 9 saying she was physically and mentally tortured and was deprived from food. The victim demanded action against the accused as per the domestic violence act. Following the complaint, the Centre has written to Metropolitan Police Circle to arrest and take necessary investigation against the accused, said Sushila Pradhan, Inspector of Women and Children Service Center.
