Human rights organizations in the district have urged for the unconditional release of Dipendra Chaudhary, 25, of Gamhariya Maheshpur6.

Issuing a joint press statement on February 17, 11 human rights organizations including INSEC, Human Rights Protection Centre (Network) Siraha, Dalit Janakalyan Youth Club Lahan, WOREC Nepal, IHRICON called for the safe release of the abductee.

Saying that the local police administration had not taken the security of citizens seriously, the statement asks to make the security arrangements effective.

Chaudhary was abducted by an unidentified group while he was returning after closing his grocery shop at Ghurmi chok on February 13.
