Khotang/April 14 Police have arrested central secretary of Kirant Janabadi Workers Party (KJWP) Hansaraj Rai of Chyandanda VDC-8 on April 13. According to DSP Govind Kumar Shah of the District Police Office, Rai was arrested from Morang. He is accused of looting weapons after attacking Nunthala police post of Khotang on May 4, 2010, and Phaktang, Devisthan and Chisapani police post of Khotang on January 21, 2008. He is also charged with torchind the Repeater Tower of Nepal Telecom in Humapokhari of Kaule VDC on March 21, 2011. DSP Rai said that necessary investigation had begun after bringing Rai to Diktel on April 14. KJWP had taken away battery and computer from the Telecom Repeater Tower in the name of pressuring the government. The tower is in operation since June 2011.
