Ward chairman padlocks agricultural market in Katahari

On August 12, the ward chairman of Katahari Rural Municipality-1 Kapur Lal Majhi padlocked the agricultural market run by the State Ministry of Land Management, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Katahari and Birat Agricultural Production and Marketing Association targeting the general public of Biratnagar. The state government removed three employees who were contracted to look after the agricultural market. The ward chairman was dissatisfied after the removal of the staff. However, Ward Chairman Majhi said that due to the increased of corona infection in Katahari, he padlocked the agricultural market.
