On August 12, youths from both Nepal Communist Party(NCP) and Nepali Congress(NC) staged a demonstration with a motorcycle procession, violating prohibitory order issued till August 13 considering the increased risk of coronavirus by the district administration office.

Tarun Dal had staged a demonstration in Syangja, Waling on August 12 protesting against the arrest of 2 cadres during a group clash between NCP cadre Jiten Gurung and a group including Mayor Shiva Giri of Chapakot Municipality at a workshop in Dumrikot on August 10.

NCP cadres also took to the streets to counter the demonstration staged by NC affiliated Tarun Dal.
