BIRGUNJ, APR 28 - Police on Saturday arrested a ‘sharp shooter’ involved in various killings and other criminal activities in Parsa.
A police team nabbed Rupesh Giri, a resident of Suthipathara in Bara district, while he was entering Nepal from bordering Indian town of Raxaul.
The security personnel seized a revolver and its two rounds of bullets from him. Twenty-five-year-old Giri, a ‘most wanted’ criminal in police list, was made public amid press meet on Sunday.
Giri shot dead Constable Ananta Raj Khadka at Birgunj -13 on January 11, 2010. Khadka, the personal security guard of the then Assistant Chief District Officer Bal Bahadur Malla, succumbed to bullet injuries as he tried to protect Malla.
