Police on August 27 arrested 45-year-old Bharatraj Bhandari of Pokhara Metropolitan City-23 on the charge of abducting 29-year-old Mahadev Sapkota on August 24. According to DSP Subash Malla, Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Kaski Bhandari was arrested from his house for the abduction and physical assault on Sapkota. He was assaulted on the under-construction bridge in Kharekhola and then was abducted and held hostage in a flat. 42-year-old Basanta Lama of Kathmandu and 45-year-old Tikaram Bandhari currently residing in Pokhara Municipality 23 were also arrested on August 27 from the flat where the victim was kept hostage. According to DSP Hamal, a case has been registered against the accused in the District Court on August 27 for kidnapping.
