Police have arrested 29-year-old Kalim Khan of Khajura Municipality-5, Banke, on August 27, on the charge of abducting a 13-year-old child. The victim’s father had lodged a complaint at District Police Office, Neplagunj, on August 26, accusing Khan had abducted the his son on August 26 and demanded the ransom. The police had rescued the victim from Janaki Rural Municipality-5, Gudiya Village, on August 27 and handed over to his parents.
According to the police, there was a dispute between the accused and the victim’s family over the money transaction. Police Inspector Hridesh Sapkota said,’a case of abduction has been registered against the accused.’ The victim underwent a medical examination at Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj on August 28.
