Nepal police sub-inspector accused of beating tenant for not paying rent

A sub-inspector of Nepal police has been accused of beating a tenant of his house for not paying rent on time. Nepal Police sub-inspector Prakash Karki and his father reportedly beat tenant Bikram Tamang, residing in the sub-inspector's house in Boudha. Tamang, a driver by profession from Sindhupalchowk had been facing financial difficulties lately due to the lockdown imposed by the Government. He sustained an injury on his chest and tongue in the beating by the sub-inspector and his father. The duo also reportedly took away his mobile and woofer sound system. Karki is accused of abusing the tenant due to his position.
