Two dozens injured in a clash in Dhanusha

More than two dozens people were injured in a clash between two sides at Nagarain Municipality-7, Dhanusha.

The clash erupted on Sunday over the issue of throwing garbage by Muslim community in a foundation stone of Shiva Temple of the Nawatoli village. Binay Kumar Yadav, Rakesh Yadav, Krishna Yadav, Saroj Yadav, Sanjay Safi, Makesh Yadav, Niva Thakur, Jumaida Khatun, Maimun Khatun, Mobarak Nadaf, Gulam Nadaf, Taslim Nadaf, Hasina Khatun, Hasmat Khatun, Mumtaz Nadaf, Jamahir Nadaf, Samasuddin Nadaf were injured in the clash. Their treatment is undergoing at a local hospital.

Spokesperson of Dhanusha police DSP  Mahendra Kumar Mishra informed that the dispute arose after the Muslim community took a stand against the construction of the Nawaneshwor Shiva Temple in the bank of Dudhaha Pond.

Police said a 30-member police's team started patrolling after the clash. Separate teams of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force are now patrolling the site.
