Radhiyadevi, the mother of 17-year-old Sangita of Dakneshwori Municipality-7 Lalitpur who recently committed suicide after being gang-raped has reported being threatened by the village leaders and family members of the perpetrators who raped her daughter. The perpetrators family members are intimidating Radhiyadevi by saying that her family would be outcasted and that although the case had been registered against the perpetrators there would be no witness. Police arrested the perpetrators, 19-year-old Bablu aka Suman Kumar Mandal of Dakneshwori-7 Lalitpur from India and another accused, 18-year-old Ranjit aka Saroj Kumar Mandal from Belhi of Balan Bihul. Police are meanwhile, searching for other accused 25-year-old Bisu aka Bishnu Mandal and 27-year-old Dharmadev Mandal. Police also arrested village leaders Jayakanta Mandal, Basudev Mandal and Satyanarayan Mandal on suicide abetment charge.
