A youth from Sirijangha Rural Municipality-8 Yamphudin Thibuk in Taplejung attacked his relatives with a sharp weapon in midnight on Wednesday seriously injuring his aunt, 60-year-old Phuti Bhote, cousins 36-year-old Pasang Bhote and 18-year-old Tsering Bhote. They sustained injuries on their head and neck in the attack, according to CDO of Taplejung Jharendra Prashad Chapagai. The injured are undergoing treatment at Yamphudin health post and preparations are being made to take them to Kathmandu.
The assailant, Lhakpa went on the run after the incident. A police team has been deployed to nab him according to DSP Mahendra Shrestha of Taplejung police.
