Syangja/May 15 Police have arrested a 58-year-old man of Putalibazar Municipality-3 on May 14 on charge of sexually abusing his 29-year-old daughter-in-law. The victim has filed a complaint at the District Police Office on May 13 accusing her father-in-law of trying to rape her. The victim stated in her complaint that she managed to save herself by moving to her neighbor's house as he tried to enter her room while nobody was at home. She said that her mother-in-law also left home after being unable to cope with the mistreatment of her father-in-law. The victim's husband is abroad for employment. District Police Office said that the accused has been charged under rape attempt. Inspector Santosh Tamang said that the accused is held in the custody and investigation is ongoing.
