Woman beaten by neighbour on witchcraft allegation in Morang

A woman has been beaten by her neighbour on allegation of a witch in Morang. 29-year-old Dhanhira Rai of Sundarharaicha Municipality-3 Aaitabare reportedly beat her 38-year-old neighbour woman accusing her of being a witch. According to police, Dhanhira attacked the woman at 4:00 am in the morning on Wednesday with a trident. The victim sustained an injury in various parts of her body and bled heavily. She was bedridden due to injury. Police have started an investigation against the assailant.
