Chairman of Madan Bhandari Memorial Foundation and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leader Guru Baral has been attacked by the locals on 6th October Tuesday when he reached Urlabari-5, the home of Mukninath Dahal , the chief of accounting and administration at the foundation to grieve his death. Police at the scene took Baral to a safe place. Meanwhile, police and armed police have been mobilized from Urlabari, Belbari and Pathari to control the crowd.

Dahal had been working at the foundation since 2052 BS and has a wife and two sons. He was working at the academy's multi-technical school in Tarbari, Damak, Jhapa. He was found hanging in the school on October 5, Monday.

His relatives and locals have demanded an investigation into Dahal's death claiming it to be suspicious and stating that he was forced to choose the path of death. They have further demanded to arrest Binod Aryal, the chief executive officer of the foundation and take necessary actions.

To calm the agitated party, Jeevan Ghimire, Social Development Minister of State 1, CPN (UML) central members, Chairman and other leaders went to talk with them.
