Six people have been killed in a jeep accident at Junichande rural municipality-1 on Wednesday evening, October 7. DSP Kishor Shrestha informed that the driver, Gorakh Bahadur Basnet was not in contact. The victim’s side set a fire to the driver's mobile shop in Suwannauli.
The identity of Karna Bahadur Shahi of Chhedagad Municipality-5 has been revealed .The victim did not allow the police to go to the incident spot yet and there was an attempt to attack the local’s representative.
The deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Amar Bahadur Shahi( Assistant Chairperson of ward 11), 60-year-old Kirti Shahi,32-year-old Khem Bahadur Shahi (health worker), 30-year-old Malika Basnet ( fromward-5), 29-year-old Krishna Bahadur Shahi (health worker) and Lal Bahadur Budha
The jeep was heading to Para from Khalanga district headquarters for a meeting of the executive committee of Junichande rural municipality. Nara Bahadur Budha of Junichande-11 has been injured in the incident and is undergoing treatment at Surkhet-based State Hospital. The jeep fell into the river.
