Police arrested 20-year-old Savita Pariyar of Vagbhanjyang in Byas Municipality-4 on a charge of abducting 6-year-old Dipson Shrestha from Damauli on the afternoon of October 7.

The victim's family had lodged a complaint at the District Police Office, Tanahu on October 6 after he went missing at 3 pm. 

DSP Yuvaraj Timilsina of the District Police Office told INSEC representative that the accused is also a neighbour and was arrested after the victim's side lodged a complaint. 

According to DSP, the accused took the boy to Baghmara of Pokhara sub-metropolitan city of Kaski district without informing the parents of the child.
